2025 SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS

Jennifer Bemis earned a M.M. in piano performance from the University of Southern Mississippi and a B.M. in piano performance from the University of South Alabama. She worked for many years as an active collaborative pianist in the Gulf Coast region, and currently serves as organist and choir director at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Bristol, VA.

Rachel Casebolt is a member of St. Francis Episcopal church in beautiful Heber Springs, Arkansas, where she lives with her husband, Philip, two cats (Sassy and Lillibet), and 4 chickens. Between the two of them, they have 7 children and 9 grandchildren. Her hobbies are hiking, kayaking, reading, gardening and camping. She enjoys traveling, especially seeing grandchildren. She is a Licensed Professional Counseling with her own practice, seeing children, adolescents, and adults. Rachel enjoys singing in EdenSong Chorus, cantoring at St. Francis, and working on her vocal skills with Dr. Tammie Burger. Her musical experience, though not collegiate, has ranged from her childhood where she sang solos in small country churches in Arkansas to singing in church choirs in Texas and Arkansas. She also sang with Irving Chorale for several years in Texas and did a brief stint with Texas Harmony, a Sweet Adeline’s group. She thoroughly enjoys choral singing and blending with others to make a beautiful noise.
