We're PLATINUM!
We're PLATINUM!
We are pleased and excited to announce that Malcolm Archer has agreed to return to the conference for 2021. Malcolm is a long time favorite of many of us at SCMC, and we are delighted that he is able to return. (More details to follow.)

Join us in the summer of 2021 as we gather to celebrate our 70th conference at the beautiful University of the South in Sewanee, TN. Registration opens February 15. Be sure to register early - secure your spot so that you can hone your craft, make music, worship daily, shop at Lois Fyfe, and take the spiritual refreshment the Holy Mountain always provides.
The Director of SCMC 70 is Kevin Simons, back again at the helm. Kevin is absolutely gifted when it comes to considerate and thoughtful planning, attention to detail, problem-solving on the fly, maintaining a positive attitude in the midst of the chaos that sometimes befalls us, and caring for the people of the conference above all else. (He's a fine, fine musician to boot!) Kevin grew up at this conference and has been attending since he was 19 years old. We're grateful to him for his Big Picture roots AND wings in guiding the conference forward.

Our SCMC Board President, Geoffrey Ward, is the person who fosters our conference at its home, The University of the South. He does much work behind the scenes to facilitate relationships and services between the University and the SCMC. He has just finished attending his fifth conference. “The Sewanee Church Music Conference is very unique in that there is a strong base of conferees who attend every year coupled with occasional and new attendees. The community that has developed over the 69 years of the conference is truly special. It encourages the best out of everyone who attends, including musically, socially and spiritually. We are excited to see how this continues to grow and develop as we celebrate our 70th season.”
